Michelin Pilot SS size issue

I have a completely stock ZL1 and am finally getting around to buying a new set of tires. I want the MPSS tires. So from what I've been reading, it seems the 315/35/20's will fit the rear and 295/35/20's will fit the front with no rub or anything. Is this true?

I just put 295's on the front and 315's on the rear. No rubbing and they handle great!

I just put 295 and 315 MPSS on my SS and they fit fine--with one caveat. I have Ridetech coilovers (for now) I need a 5mm spacer on the fronts because the tire sidewall rubs on the bottom coils of the shocks. This apparently is only a problem with the Ridetechs. My Pedders actually had more clearance than the stock struts, and the 1LE stuts with BMR 1" lowering springs I'll be switching to shortly are reported not to have this problem, so I can remove the spacer once I change to the 1LE suspension.

Yes, I am stock height but I don't think 1" will give you a problem.

After my first set of PSS wore out I went to a 285 on the front just to cut down on the rocks and stuff thrown by the fronts. I do have the protectors on the front but the 295 PSS are quite wide and still throw a lot of stuff off. Reduced greatly after I went to the 285s. I realize the stagger is off a touch and maybe I get a bit more understeer but Im more of a drag racer than a road course guy.

mrvenicess is absolutely correct. One other item to think about is the 285 do not protrude at the top of the wheelwell. I installed a 295 and it sticks out about a 1/6" on the drivers front. You will wish you installed the Michelins sooner no matter what front size you choose.

Did changing to a 285 on the front while keeping the 315 on the rear cause any traction control issues since the stagger is off a little bit?

No, just keeps the sides of the car chip free and cleaner longer
