2LT RS Winter Tires?
I was looking to get these tires for the winter to put on my 2LT and found these. Any thoughts on them? Good, bad, better ideas? Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

I am just about to order my Camaro and have been really wrestling with the RS package, and the tire challenge. I visited the local Discount Tire store last week, and then did some searching on line. I found the Voxx wheels, too. Also found Firestone Winter Force tires with good user reviews at the Tire Rack website that might be worth considering. However, I don't have any personal experience with any of them.
I have decided to not get the RS package and go with 19" polished rims instead of the 20x8 and 20x9's. |

Here is the other set of tires that I was considering. Again, any advice is welcome.

Guys, look for a set of LS steel rims, I got mine for $300 bucks here on this forum, then check www.tirerack.com for Pirelli Scorpion Ice and snow tires...they make a 245x55x18 for the Camaro LS, (msrp $169) don't mess around changing tires on rims, its hard on the tires as well as the rims, in a couple years you will have paid for the extra rims with the changing and balancing costs. I have a 2LTRS, and wouldn't think of driving those summer tires in snow, plus going with 18" rims will be cheaper buying tires than 20", just get the same dia. about 28.6 inches and the odometer (mph) won't hardly change at all. the traction control works GREAT with snow tires, at least it does on my Monte Carlo with 4 snow tires I've lived in Wisconsin and Wyoming my whole life, and snow tires are the way to go in these cold, snowy, icy roads. Besides, these Pirelli tires are siped deeply and often giving excellent traction in slush and especially on ice. Check it out...you won't be sorry Strobi

Tirerack has a lot of great options and prices. I was wondering about the tps however. You can have them added on for about $55 a tire, but that doesn't include the actual programming so your car recognizes it, does it? Is that an easy thing to do yourself?

You don't need the damn tps monitors, unless you can't read a tire guage...
