New ZL1 owner.

I'm new to this website and just got my ZL1 about 3 weeks ago and I love it. I've been looking at the Jannetty and JDP no tune packages and the other higher horsepower packages too. Which would you guys go with. I'm scared to get a tune to cancel warranty. And is there any reputable shops close to me that I could have do my work for me when I'm ready to go all out. Located in western KY Thanks.

Welcome and congrats on your new ride....You'll have to post some pics. They are both reputable shops with a lot of knowledge and great prices. I honestly would go with Jannetty, which is who I'm sticking with now. When you buy your parts from him he will send you a free custom tune for those upgrades, if you have a SCT device. He will also do HP Tuners but you have to pay for a license and you have to buy the software, which is $500 for the standard and $650 for the pro version. You can buy a SCT X4 or iTSX tuner, which will work with the ZL1 and is less money. I have the iTSX personally. I like it because I can use my iPhone or iPad for tuning and you can display gauges on it. For a first mod, I would suggest a Roto-Fab intake. You will notice a difference and you will here the blower whine, which makes it worth the money in my opinion. Anyway....good luck and happy modding!!!

What part of the WKY are you? Far as local tuning James Short (Shortuning) in Danville and We also have Brian Tooley Racing for parts in Louisville. Far as shops their is a few scattered across the state that are reputable.

I was also at Street Machine Nationals on Saturday!

I'm from Central City. I moved to Harrisburg, IL about w years ago. And I'm moving back home in a about 3 weeks. I live in an apt up here and at home I've got a good garage to store it in and keep it clean in. Thanks for the info. One more question? I've got a friend up here that has a Boss 302 Mustang with a tune on it and that's it. Can I take him. Or do I need to do say a 50 rwhp kit to make sure I beat him. Thanks again! !
