Help: Offer for 2015 ZL1 Vert - CRT
Wondering what your thoughts are for an offer on a 2015 ZL1 vert in CRT. I already have a '14 SS that I would sell if I got the Z (the point being that I don't really need the car and wouldn't be upset if I missed it).
The MSRP on the car is 65,705 and the invoice is 62,953. Without consideration of rebates, what do you guys think would be an offer that wouldn't get immediatly dismissed? With '16 around the corner and the new verts looking awesome, I'm thinking that could lead to some wiggle room. That said, I would like to settle at the invoice price or less. As a point of reference, I got my SS at invoice before 3,000 in additional rebates. Any thoughts would be great. |

I wouldn't even think about a Gen5 for a while longer. You may not get the exact car (color) you want, but you'll get a hell of a deal on the leftovers.
You're going to take a hit on the '14 SS as well. Couple thousand at least (?). You know, you only live once blah blah blah - the ZL1 is a hell of a machine, and if you can swing it, then you should feel good about going for it. Exact pricing - who the hell knows. Dealers are weird sometimes, they'll sit on stuff until the tires rot off. Low ball them and see what they come back with. |

No less than 20% off MSRP at this point in the game.

20% is the number I was thinking of too, I wouldn't pay more than that off the msrp.

Just got 20% off a new Malibu this week, but I don't think they have the wiggle room like that on a ZL1 without Chevy opening up another 20% program. Without it, the dealer would probably tell you that you'd have to qualify for supplier pricing plus a lot of consumer cash & private offers.
