I think I'm canceling my order...

I think I'm canceling my order...at least for this year. I live in Michigan and this car would strictly be a pleasure car. The car is not scheduled for production for another week, so who knows how long it could be after that before I would take delivery. I feel like by the time I would get it I would be putting it right back into storage. I got so excited I think I jumped the gun ordering it this late in the year.

I think I am going to re-order in spring, possibly February or March. This would give me time to save more money and not force me to keep my daily drive out in the bad weather earlier than I need to. Any thoughts guys?

yea, no kidding....i say if you can finance it and have the money now, then get it...even if its just sitting in your garage, you can always go out and look at it! Plus, there will be days in the winter where it may get into the 50's or get warmer and you could take it out, its not like it'll be cold and snowy from november-march straight.

For me, I have no other car, and I'm from Indianapolis so I'll have to driv it in the winter which I'm not looking forward too

Wait you live in Michigan and can't find the exact one you want on a lot. Man everywhere in this state I go I see them just sitting on lots esp in the Detroit/Novi area.

The only problem I see is if the SS is really on constraint you may have a tough time getting back on the list.... I would just leave my order in.

I agree with you, why pay for the car now just to put it in storage in two months. If waiting isn't killing you place your order again in Feb or March.

I say that would be a smart decision to wait. I bet by then you can save thousands in supplier pricing and other discounts that are still now hard to get.

Thanks for all of your input guys. Each one of you have made some valid points that I have also considered. I guess at this point I will just have to sleep on it and see what my final decision is.

For the color I want "Rally Yellow" and a loaded SS RS, M6 I have not been able to locate. Also, I was told by two of the dealers I spoke with they would not let me use my GM discount on inventory that was already on their lot.
