1LE Coilovers

Ok, what would you guys recommend as far as specific coilover for my 1le. I see a lot of people with peddlers but they are out of business from what i understand. Please be specific with brand and model please as I don't know a lot about these kind of things. Money is not a factor....to a point.

Ok, I want to lower my car and improve handling. It will see track use only about once per year but I have some decent roads that are entertaining. Adding some simple bolt ons...CAI, Headers, etc. Nothing to drastic.

The 1LE will do almost everything you ask of a street driven car. Unless looking for a lowered stance the 1LE handles very well as designed.

The damping in the 1LE struts is really very good. The low priced coilovers will barley be equivalent. Cosmetics / lowering aside, you can get great handling gains from a few other 1LE upgrades.

Swap out your front 1LE sway bar for the smaller SS/ZL1 25mm bar. The cost online is about $110. The big rear small front will make your already great handling 1LE even more neutral. You can replace just the rear bar with a JPSS 32mm bar and be even more neutral with a bias toward oversteer -- even better

Add a degree o caster to bring your steering back on center more quickly and to track better at higher speeds with JPSS Caster Locks.

Improve your on center steering by reducing the dynamic caster changes allowed by the rubber insert from the factory in the radius arms with JPSS Billet Bushings made of aluminum or Delrin. They are like magic.

If you really want to lower, we can drop you with a Z/28 light kit. Ship me you complete 1LE strut assemblies and I'll fit Z/28 coils to them. The rates are next to perfect. The spring rates are on the high side for the 1LE struts, but we have some in the field and one in particular tearing up road courses. The owners love them

I do know of one Z/28 set of DSSV struts and springs we can get at a bargain price, comparable to mid level coilovers.

Let me know what your thoughts are.

How much will the Z28 Light kit lower the car from stock?

Varies about 5mm Camaro to Camarop depending on your current ride height, but 10mm front and 15mm rear. Not a lot, but enough to notice the difference. The big gain is in spring rate and how the car drives.

I am looking for coilovers too for my 1le and for money cant seem to find anything better than KW v3s or club sports. Would love ridetechs but the cost is 1500 bucks more and aluminum gives me nightmares on coilovers. The bilsteins seem very cheap too for a quality damper.

Can't you get a GM discount on the DSSV setup?

I am considering the z/28 kit but worried about not enough lowering after all the mass removal. I cant even get -1.4 front and -1 camber on rear anymore, z/28 dampers wouldnt help with that much, coils most likely would.
