Camaro SS H/C vs. 2013 5.0 w/tune gears & suspension mods
My friend wants to race my 2013 SS when I get it out of the shop for a H/C install at the drag strip. He has a 2013 5.0 Automatic. Im thinking it should be a close race I know how fast those 5.0's are in the 1/4 so im not gonna lie I'm a little nervous!

camaro will kill it !!! my 1LE cam long tubes makes 484hp to my friends 434 hp cold air long tube tuned track pack 15 mustang 6 spd and its a solid run but i got it up top

I wouldnt worry much about this race. Lower your tire pressure for grip and let her rip. I dont think youll be behind long (maybe off the line if he can launch).

Camaro will take this one. If he had full exhaust, intake manifold, and radials it would be up in the air.

That's good to hear hopefully my clutch lives up to the added hp. If he ever gets bolt ons I think I'm going to get a 3.91 put in I planned on it at somepoint anyway.

That's quite a bit of work to the Mustang for no real power gains. He picked wrong going with 3.55's also. The highest ratio you want to go with that auto is 3.31.
Assuming you launch well and hit your shifts reasonably okay you're going to be fine. |
