Not to crazy about my suspension setup

Hey there, like the title says, I love the look of the car but that's about it. I purchased 1.4" BMR springs and sway bars and have been driving the car for about 2 months now and it's a pretty bumpy ride. I live in Michigan and ask anyone around here and it well known how bad the roads are here. The ride was much better before I dropped it but hated the wheel gap. Now it looks sick and drives like a tank. Lol. My dad has a C6 vette and its drives so much better. Is coilovers the answer to this? I was looking at coilovers before I purchased these springs but there are so many brands and types. How can I get that smooth ride but not sacrifice the ride height?

The freeze thaw joints and pot holes in Michigan make lowering a 5th Gen a real challenge. The loss in suspension travel allows the front end to pound over Michigan roads. Coilovers are a step in the right direction in terms of maintaining suspension travel. The damping in most coilovers is more aggressive and that too compromises ride quality. Hands down the best ride you can get will be from a set of RideTech coilovers. Drop me a PM with you phone number ;-)

The biggest component is to get a balanced package. We design our kits to maximize the utility of the stock struts without overly compromising ride quality. If you aren't confident you want to jump into the coilover club, give us a look.
