They "can" but they never will.

I am running the Range Technologies device and most of the time it works fine, but it does throw codes out and disable car from time to time...

I would like a more permanent disable solution, but minus removal of AFM itself…

Is some other type of GM certified shop that can do this, other than a Chevy dealer…

Yes, I know I can buy a handheld device, put would prefer someone who knows better than me doing the set up and tune.

Thanks

How old is your device? I recall someone a few months ago complaining about the same issues and a firmware update was needed. Sorry, I'm too lazy to go digging.

Might want to check out

Endless decent shops can do a tune, turn off afm, and tune the trans to get rid of torque management.

Find a speed shop, get it tuned. Problem solved.

if your wanting to keep warranty no GM will not do it. Only option is a independent tuner.

You can send your Range Technooogy AFM disabler back to them and they will put the new program in. I just purchased a used one that was only 2 months old so it does have the new program and it works fine, no codes, better milage and no codes. I have drove over 1000 miles with no problems. Go to their web site, download the form and send it in.
