About to Buy; door ding question

The new 2015 camaro I am about to buy had a slight ding or scuff in the passengers door. The salesman said he would have it removed or fixed (the ding not the door). If it looks spot on with no evidence of the ding, should I buy still it or should I just go and try to find another that has all the equipment I want. Note that what I want is getting tougher to find right now.

thanks for the input
Dan

When I picked up my '14 brand new, there was a door ding on the passenger side that wasn't there when it went in for new car prep.

Luckily, it was sunny enough outside to catch my eye before I accepted delivery.

The PDR guy on site had it worked out perfectly in 15 minutes , and I drove off happily. Its been almost a year now, and it still looks good.

Personally, it wasn't a dealbreaker. And with inventory winding down, as long as the repair is good, I wouldn't hesitate to go through with it , obviously based on my own experience.

If this has everything you want, then go ahead, it shouldn't be an issue. They should fix it to your satisfaction before you accept delivery..

I wouldn't let a door ding stop me. I would get it in writing that it's there and will be fixed though.

Have it fixed and then check the repair. If not satisfied, do not sign and walk away.

As other's have said, have them fix it first and if not 100% o.k with it don't buy it.

After I test drove the Camaro, my wife noticed a ding. They fixed it right there and then and it was like it was never there. I then bought it.

My 2013 had a ding it in, they pulled it and repainted the door because of it, on the bright side that door is now a lifetime paint warranty! Go for it.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the input, I have a deposit on it pending the repair. Should be getting it sometime early august (waiting for a bonus from work to help with the down payment)

Its a 2LT RS with NPP exhaust, sunroof, 20" polished wheels, in CRT and its already been tinted by the dealer and has the gill decals in already. Beige/black leather interior

Can't wait to own a Camaro again

Not a Camaro, and not new, but my Wife's '13 Avalanche had many issues. We were aware of this because we saw it in the as traded in condition. Made a deal based on it looking brand new. They made it happen....not sure how...but they did.

They can usually take those dings out and you'll never see it again. Buy it
