Installing Dynatech 2" LTs and cat deletes.

So I ordered 2" dynatech LTs and cat deletes with a custom tune from JRE! All parts came in less then 24hrs!! Thanks JRE!!

So I will be installing these this weekend. Does anybody have any tips or tricks that I should know about? Any hang ups or is it all pretty straight forward.

Any insight would be much appreciated!

Also... this is the first step for my ZL1. I went with the 2" in order to throw some more boost at it down the road. I am currently thinking about either doing a 10% with a 2.55 upper even further down the road. Or... going with the 18% lower and doing the id850cc and bap all in one shot....Regardless I am doing a lower pulley soon.

I am about to put on some Stainless Power headers myself... From what I've seen and heard it's pretty straight forward.

it is not bad at all. The front 02 sensor wires are tight clearance on the back of the cylinder head. You will understand when you try to wedge your hand there. The dipstick tube is a little bit hidden when you have to reinstall it. Back spark plug on the passenger side is somewhat tight clearance. I have a special spark plug socket with a universal joint to make this easier. Enjoy the sound!

Thank you for your business.

Watch for the 6 mm studs that stick out of the frame and firewall on the pass side they have to be cut off flush with the nut.

Any questions we are here to assist you any way possible.

Ted.

Is there any way to have headers and avoid cutting that stud? Different brand, size, etc?

I know its a super small thing but I am trying to harm the originality of my car. Not saynig I wouldn't do it, but if it were only a matter of 1 7/8 instead of 2 inch then I would do that.

Currently 95% sure I will be going with JRE too if that makes anyone feel better about answering the question. Headers, no cats, 28%, ID850- but in a year or so...

on the 5 sets of 1 7/8" I have installed, this stud has never been cut. 2" might be the difference.

Thanks, I know its silly but if that is all the difference then 1 7/8 will be fine.

Just installed mine. They fit perfect! Removed the rubber cover on the steering column joint and the stud on the passenger fender/firewall. (Small changes to have 2 inch primaries). Just need to finish up a few welds on my 3" catback to make it a true full 3 inch system and I'll be done. I went ceramic coated with supercats and 3 inch outlets. I'm going to say this is the nicest header/cat option so far and has almost no compromises!

Thank you for your business.

The stud is 3 times as long as it needs to be and is just in the way during the install.

I promise you won't loose any points at the concourse show in 2050.

We don't want to scratch those pretty new headers.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Ted.
