Anyone running 18x11 Weld RTS (S71 5-spoke) rims?
'Looking for traction before I crank up the boost some more. Since I don't daily-drive my beast anymore and rarely go to the track, I'm looking for a nice setup that would be a nice compromise for street and strip duty, without having to swap wheels.
I've seen some guys running 325-width DRs on 17x10 Weld RTS rims, but I hate that huge sidewall bulge and don't think I wanna go that small and don't like the look of having larger wheels in the front. That said, I was thinking an 18x9 front (with 265-50-18 Nitto NT555s) and 18x11 rear (with 325-40-18 M&H Racemasters) would be a nice setup, even though it's a little pricier than a 17" setup. Now to my questions. Is anyone here running a similar setup? If so, how do you like it? Also, what offset/backspace is needed for these particular sizes (Weld's fitment guide doesn't mention 11"-wide specs for the Camaro, yet I see others running 11"-wide rims)? Will stock lugnuts work, or do I need a different type? What about TPMS sensors? Thanks, in advance.
