installing SRP pedals on Z/28

Do I remove the cove on the gas pedal? It looks/feels as though it is crimped on the pedal.

Do I just place the SRP on top and use the self-drilling screws? Or do I need to remove the plastic/rubber/metal piece from the gas pedal first?

For example, here is a picture of someone who just left the gas pedal as is and installed over top:

Yes...the accelerator pedal is installed over the stock pedal. It seems weird as I did the install a few months ago. I looked at a few installs of other SS and ZL1s and they are all done the same way.

I installed over top as well. No problems in about 3,000 miles.

that pict is my install. Just get the accelerator cover for toe/heel...no need for the other covers. I think it was under $40. over 15k miles no problems.

How do you order the gas pedal by itself? Last time I looked, you had to buy the whole set.

I wasn't sure if it would be secure enough, so thanks for the input!

old thread but very useful!! just installed mines. took 5 minutes.

for those still on the fence, pretty easy. align the srp pedal, mark/make your pilot hole then use self-tapping screws provided.
