Wink Black out your SS symbols / emblems for free!!

not trying to make the graphic guys mad but being a camaro owner and a graphic guy by trade. i gotta help out my camaro guys first.

If you are looking to make your SS symbols black, please do not waste your money on the inlays, unless you want them really glossy, the white ones on my 1SS are stickers therefor they can be removed, all you need is a tool with a pointy end ie. xacto or the end of a tac, if you are skilled with an xacto you can use that all you have to do is pry off the edge slowly of the decal and get a grip on it and it will start to peel away, reveal your original black color behind it.

Let me know if you have any questions

here are some of the tools that can be used , if you do not have a steady hand i would tape off any surrounding area so you dont slip and scratch your paint

That is funny. I was telling Powerfreak that it looked like a red piece of vinyl already in there.........He was wondering if it was Silver under there......guess not.

if you peel the stickers off slowly they should leave little if no glue residue i rubbed it off with my finger what little there was, usually you can clean glue with alcohol but if that is paint under the sticker alcohol will rub paint off, i just used spray detailer to shine it up a bit

You found it!!

Those are the SS emblems they were going to use on the SS/Z28 model!

White for base SS.
Red for SS/RS.
Black for SS/Z28.

Or maybe not....
