GM certified vehicle warranty question - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I just bought a 2011 SS and it was GM Certified. It comes with 24 month free maintenance/ 12 month/12,000 mile bumper to bumper/ 5 year 100,000mile.
My question is when does the 5 year powertrain start? Is it from the initial purchase back in 2011 or does it restart from my purchase date due to it being certified?

It starts when the car was first put into service. Which could be late 2010.
