Unhappy ZL1 2014 Air Con Bug

Hi I have a 2014 ZL1 auto - love it, but it has a bug with the Air Con - when you start up, turn on the fan and AC, it blows fine and SOUNDS like the AC is operating, but it blows room temperature air for 25-30 minutes of driving. At that point it randomly kicks in and starts blowing cold air.

I have had the car converted to RHD here in Australia by a professional reputed operator, and they have been over it with a fine toothcomb but cant find a fault with the AC itself. I suspect the issue is actually a switch issue at the dashboard console or a computer bug. It worked fine for the first 6 months I drove it.

I notice a few others have had similar AC issues with other older models - has anyone else had similar issues either with ZL1 or other models?

Any advice appreciated! Cheers, Gus

Hi Gus:
I too am in Oz and had my ZL1 converted to RHD.
I do not have the problem that you describe, but I can say the AC system is average at best.
With the blower on full it roars like a freight train but the air comes out at a pretty average velocity. It does get cold within a minute or so though.
Good luck in trying to find a solution, might have to take it to a Holden dealer and see if they can sus it out.
Cheers
Terry
