Coolant Temp Question
Been a GM owner for over 25 years now and I have a question, I see on my 14 1LT coolant temp gauge does not run at the 1/2 way mark as all other cars I have owned. noticed this is the case with other Camaro's based on dash pictures here and other sites. Do the Camaros have a different temp range gauge?

My Silverado runs below the center as well as my Camaro. Temp guages do change from from model to model and even within the same model over time.

I use the center digital readout for the temp sometimes. Our LLT V6 stays at 190-201-203 in 90 degree heat with AC running.

![]() It's an electronic gauge with a "range of acceptable". Don't sweat it as long as it's not near the H or throwing an 'overheat' light or code. One of the reasons car makers don't like gauges and displays is that owners freak out over the perception of a problem when no problem exists. Don't worry that your needle isn't dead-nuts center. As an FYI, a 15psi closed cooling system has a boil-over temp of about 247* F.
