Installed the Technostalgia lights.........
They're pretty damn sweet! I need to get an LED 3rd brake light now. Any of you have these installed? There's supposedly an "Afterburner" mode that from what I'm gathering, the outside rim of LED's that form the arc are supposed to be bright while the rest of them are dim. I don't see that function at all. Other than that, they're bright as hell! And I really like the sequential flashing as well as the rapid blink when I come to a stop. Definitely catches your attention!!

I like them, but I have read a lot of bad reviews on them, like lights going out, condensation in the lens, etc. There is one guy in the local club that has them, and he has a condensation problem, but it isn't that bad on his.

I haven't tried changing the mode. All I know is they are ridiculously bright. I've had mine since 2012, 12k miles and had the condensation issue early on. I sent them back to technostalgia and they installed a nice thick rubber gasket on each one. No more condensation since. The resistors will rust, I had to replace those too. I coated mine in a high temp liquid electrical tape.
For anyone buying a set, be sure to hold on to your original tails just incase. |

Where did you even find them. I thought most places quit selling them due to so many complaints.

The afterburner might not engage until the car is in gear. I can't remember at the moment.

I've had mine on for a little over 2 years. Two weeks after installation 3 afterburner LED's went out in one of the lights. Returned it and had it back in 4 days. Has worked ever since.

these lights look awesome! by far my favorite other than stock 10-13. unfortunately they did not hold together well in the Texas heat. had to have them re-glued and when i got them back they would not work at all :( i just got my money back (very cool to the vendor for that) and stuck with the stock ones
but man i got more compliments for the taillights than any other mod at the time

I'll try to get pics. It's hard to get a decent shot of them as bright as they are.

They are great lights, when they work!! Unfortunately they are batting about 50% with their products. They have been making them for a while now, I would have thought that they would have gotten all the bugs fixed by now but they are still having quality control issues. Great idea, good product only average execution.
