Trunk won't open with key fob....

The trunk in my 2012 will not open with the key fob but will open using the trunk release button on the drivers side door. Any ideas....? All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried both your key fob's to see if it might be the fob itself at fault? Might need a new battery in the fob.

New battery. Mine did this within the first 2 months of owning the car and it was brand new. I just put a new battery in and it worked wonderful. And yes, on all years you have to hold it down for at least 1 second

I believe I remember something some time ago about GM changing the trunk button response to cut down on the chance of it inadvertently opening the trunk at the slightest touch. A bit too sensitive I think, so they may have changed it in the newer years to make you hold it for a second or two.
