New Owner first mods?

Hey guys just going the forum and great may I add! I know I see this topic all over but Im just learning my car and trying to figure out the route I want to take. First I wish I could figure out how to get the specs of the car (build sheet or window sticker).

First think I did was order Volant Cold Air Intake. The second thing is an exhaust system. What do you guys recommend?

Thanks

if you want to start on appearance mods, get a lip and maybe some side skirts.

also start doing minor lighting upgrades... such as interior LED dome light, LED license plate lights, and LED Fog lights (not sure if the 14-15 comes from the factory with halogen fogs or LEDs).

Remember: the smallest things make the biggest differences

Have you gotten the OEM windscreen for the back seat yet?

It is a screen that sits over top of the rear seat and blocks the wind from coming up from behind when you are driving with the top down. The nice part about the OEM screen is it does not have to be put down to close the top. You can also get to the rear seat while it is in to put things back there.

Congrats on the new ride! Welcome to Camaro5!
Both Magnaflow and Borla offer great cat-back and axle back options for your new car. Borla even has three options to find the right volume levels. You won't find much power gains in the exhaust system however. A nice set of headers will give you some decent hp gains but it will need a tune. KOOKS, ARH, and Stainless Works are all good brands.
I would also highly suggest looking into a catch can to keep those oil vapors out of the intake system. Elite makes a great solution and their quality is second to none. If you haven't heard of VMAX Ported Throttle Bodies, they are also a cost effective way to add a few hp. Please let me know if you have any questions and feel free to call, PM or email us at anytime.

Kind regards,

-Adrian

really first mod : a good catch can, if your a manual a separate clutch reservoir like the holden gt one I got from diygen5 as yes the clutch fluid does get a lot dirtier than the brake fluid and changing it regularly is really nice not sharing it with the brakes......
Volant not there in the upper echelon of CAI's but hey you could have said k&n and both would have been mehhh.... Plastic looking CAI's to me say why bother to remove the hideous stocker to replace it with ......... Not that it was not one of the first to make a CAI for the Camaro, often you get what you pay for and your exhaust will be best left for you to decide by cruising on the forums and listening to utubes of various exhausts, one thing for sure you will want to loose the suitcase resonators if you want a nice sound and have a l99, (along with the AFM and its lifters eventually ..lol), and the stock exhaust ranks right up there with a rusty water heater sticking out the back to stain the sound, they are friggin hideous and do not hide well....lol
