change engine

Can I put a LFX engine in a 2010 (LLT) camaro or not?
Or put a Cadillac CTS 3.6 V6 (LLt) in the camaro?

I think a few have already tried this and it's NOT an easy swap to go from a V6 to the V8.

There have been a few people brave enough to try engine swaps. The last one I read ended up scrapped because of a wiring harness difference between two model years.

The standard advice here is to sell it and get another car. It's cheaper, quicker, easier.

I don't want to change to a V8.
But my LLT V6 3.6 is dead. So I must put another engine in.
That's why I want the new V6 3.6 LFX (model year 2012 camaro) or the engine from a Cadillac CTS. This is also the LLT V6 3.6 engine same as in the camaro I think.
Or Is this to hard to do? Are there a lot of changes on this 2 engines or not.

The LLT and LFX are different platforms and will certainly use different components. I know for sure the ECM is different, exhaust manifolds, etc.

There are many threads on the differences in the two platforms.

I would put a new LLT back in that is for the 2011 model year and call it a day.
