Texas Speed Headers Newly Updated!
Guys I just wanted to let you know we made some changes to the Texas Speed 5th Gen headers that I think you'll like! They now feature updated design that will give improved fitment! I know a lot of the guys with electric steering were having a tight fit so we made some tweaks & built a new layout!
The 2" & 1 7/8" are both in stock & ready to go!! http://www.texas-speed.com/p-2168-te...ns-2010-c.aspx |

I've been looking at putting long tubes back on my car. Previous owner had a set. Is it worth getting them powder coated with something high temp and wrapping them???

Great news ,you have made a great product better . The only thing that stopped me from buying TSP 2 inch headers was the fitment issues SOME folks were having . I installed SP 1 7/8 on mine about a year and a half ago . Were I to do it today I wood go TSP 2 inch without hesitation .

So I ordered mine on Wednesday. Are those gonna be the updated versions? Or am I still gonna have to make some modifications for it to fit?

Jason, I bought the 2" headers (cats & full exhaust) awhile back but never installed. Can they be exchanged for the newer design for better fit?

Couple of questions..
Any advantage / disadvantage going 1 7/8 vs 2? Can't tell from the pictures but do the cat options have a location for the rear O2? |

2" makes more peak power especially as you add hp. No rear o2s in any setup. The cats are high flow cats so they trip the SES light no matter what. Anyone who sells a cat that isn't tripping a ses light is selling a cat that is by no means high flow...

Now seriously confused.. I thought I was only somewhat before.. Question then is do you tune them out and go with cats that have no rear O2 or go with ones and have the SES light on.. seems either way this could be a concern with inspection and state laws.. Is there anything out there that specifies one way or another and what is legal? There is no passing inspection in NJ with a SES light on so that leads me to the next concern if tuned out does that have a way to be detected and still not pass even if the SES is not on? I know the OBD2 status needs to be ready or you fail for that also.. Does a tune support that if the rears are deleted? Thanks for the enlightenment as I get educated here on options.. |

Is the fitment better on the passenger side? And is it possible to just buy one side?
