THE COPS!
Every time I get in the Camaro after dark, I drive a short distance, check the mirror and COPS!!!! My stomach falls, grip tightens, pucker to the seat and then I remember. Some genius decided it would be funny to put red and blue lights in the mirror. I dont find it funny and have covered the lights with tape.
How embarrassing to pull up in what otherwise is a beautiful car with electrical tape on the mirror. In addition, each time I adjust the mirror (it gets bumped often in a convertible) the car calls onstar. So fellow owners, how do I turn off the cop lights in my mirror so I can enjoy an evening drive? |

Are you serious? The mirror indicator lights don't even remotely resemble the lights on a police cruiser. You need to clear your conscience bro! If it's killin' ya, a dab of black silicone on each one won't show and will ease your easily puckered butt cheeks...

Must be a California thing. CHP had steady burn red, white takedown and blue active light. Going to stick with the electrical tape.

What the heck R U doin' to hit the mirror all the time?
Don't think I've ever hit mine. Have you ever been pulled over? Them lights ... unmistakable. Lights flashing everywhere, not just rear view mirror.

Try looking PAST those lights.. I don't even really see them anymore..

After a year of driving the car I still have the same reaction when the red and blue catches corner of my eye . . . . makes me do a double take. |
