This is the first I've heard that they were even offering gloss stripes.

Very interesting, I decided to paint stripes because I wanted gloss instead of flat

I have the black rally stripes and got a "flat" black to blackout between the tail lights. The GM stripes have slighty more gloss than the "flat" vinyl, but I won't classify them as gloss. My GM stripes are more of a satin finish.... maybe just the name changed?
  Didn't recall them saying "flat", "gloss" or any descipt on the finish of any of the stripe packages....just colors.

I just checked the GM Accessories site and it just says "black". Doesn't specify whether they are flat or gloss.

I really can't believe GM isn't offering gloss black. I have a few Camaros real life now with factory flat black rally stripes. I really hate that look. Looks really cheap, non flashy, basic, plain, stock, blah!
