Wet sanding experiences?
I've been doing some reading on wet-sanding as a process for eliminating orange peel or other surface defects like 'fish eyes'. I likely wouldn't tackle this one alone and would bring the car to a professional.
The main reason why I'm asking is because there is a mark on my front fender, almost like you took your fingernail and ran it about an inch right after it was freshly painted. My guess is that the guy who cleaned it for delivery did it accidentally when reaching across the hood to dry it. Probably the button from his jeans. That is my best guess anyway, but I KNOW it was not there the night the car came in. I have read people talking about soft paint, but the mark is really not in the paint, its just the clearcoat. I have IOM so I'm very cautious about applying something abbrasive to level it out. Any experience with wet sanding out there? Recommendations for a detail shop in Toronto that could take care of this? |

You should be able to buff that scratch with a good polish.
