Rate Your Camaro 1-10

I am just curious how each one of you would rate your Camaro based on overall build quality and functionality. I Bought a brand new 15' Camaro and just wanted to know what to expect from it and get everyone's thoughts on how they have or haven't liked theirs!

Thanks!!

So far, I haven't had any real issues with mine. Minor clanks and clunks of sounds that come and go as things get broken in I imagine. I would rate mine 7/10

I'd say about 7 or 8 too. It has some minor annoyances but pretty good overall.

10 to Me. It's been a great car with zero problems so far.

I give a 9. Ive only had one issue which was a power steering hose leak. Oh and a rear turn signal bulb. Other than that, at 52K miles, she is as good as new.

I am the 2nd owner of a pre-order 2010 R6P. That means they got the special ordering sheet and special GM delivery packet, and I just got their 16k mile hand-me-down. I also don't have back-up sensors on my rear fascia. I do have chicklets (altho removed by me) and the GM Perf. badge under the hood (disappears and reappears on certain years I am told).

Fit and finish...not too shabby for a GM 1st production. Panels are aligned, not alot of squeaks at 36k now other than the ones I introduced with poly-bushings. Got a rattle in the door/rear drivers area. I guess I wish the wind noise was not as much coming from the back.

Functionally, it does what I expect. I think the lifters are starting to tick on long sit time-startups. The tranny program is nice for stock, but god it needs help. No oil loss or burn other than a seeping oil cooler that is a gasket flaw I believe.

It is 6 years old, tho.

I rate it a 7. I think the paint was skimped on by GM even with the CGM paint being a bit better than avg. and the AFM/DoD was still not a great advancement due to the lifter limitations.

A 10 for sure. In 6 years other than regular service items I've spent $2.50 for a burned out tail lamp bulb.

I'd have to give mine a 10...
Only other car that came close to this was the 2003 CTS Luxury Sport I got new... It ended up back at the dealer many times before all the bugs were worked out. The Camaro seems to be better from that standpoint though.

I've only had mine for 7 months... so, I'd give an 8 so far. Just little software annoyances.

I am the original owner of a 2010 A6 2SS.

I give this car a 5 for quality and functionality. I had to have the AFM lifters replaced, and the USB iPod interface has never worked right. Luckily, a really good service department did the tear-down to replace the lifters, but seriously, why did GM continue using the defective lifters for several years after the problem was identified?

As for the iPod interface, parts to perform the TSB are not available, so I resort to using the 1/8 jack instead.

Another warranty repair was required to fix a defective thread for a coolant line from the engine block to the oil cooler.

Other pet peeves: the analog speedometer is unintelligible, AFM switching between 4 and 8 cylinders is rough compared to other AFM I have driven, and (old fart alert) I will never be happy about the absence of a spare tire. My entire trunk is taken up by a full size spare that is a must for long road trips.

The car is a blast to drive. The A6 tranny is a dream, there are gobs of torque, and the brakes and tires are the best I've ever experienced. Otherwise, I would have given the car a 3.
