Springs for LS9 cam.

Want some advice on springs for my ls9 cam. Would like to use BTR stuff. I have been using stock springs for a while and would like to upgrade the springs over the winter. Can someone list the specific spring kit I should use. Should I do push rods also? Also would it be worth adding 1.8 rockers also. Also what's a good spring compressor. Any and all opinions welcome. I'm at 13 psi of boost with meth currently. Just want to make things more robust.

Call BTR They are the experts in this. Stock rockers are great. I wouldn't touch the 1.8s. He will probably recommend their .650 platinum springs.

BTR springs

I use BTR springs that are rated for up to 660 lift. I have used them on my daily driver that occasionally hits 7700 RPM in roll racing events.AWESOME springs. Have about 12K miles on them now, NO ISSUES .

Are you experiencing valve float or something that makes you want to change them? Honestly if you're not having any problems take that money and put it toward something else. Don't get me wrong adding better springs wouldn't hurt but I wouldn't unless it is at a "must change" point.

No I don't think I am getting valve float. I just run the car hard at times at 13 psi of boost and want the safety of dual springs. I try to make things as foolproof as possible. Thanks for the advice.

Heard the trunion upgrage has more failures than stock parts. I put btr 3/8" pushrods in mine.

Nothing wrong with stock trunions. Pushrods aren't a bad idea.

Honestly if your current setup has no issue, I wouldn't mess with it. Part of the reason to run a ls9 cam is to not do valve springs or other upgrades.

What Unreal said...Unless you're running really high boost levels or really high rpm levels...the stockers really aren't that bad...seriously
