Not going anywhere for a while? (order/event codes)

I've been waiting a good long time (4 months) just to have my dealer get an open allocation! Finally at 2000 . Anyone know what the average wait is to get to 3000 about now (don't wanna check in with Viz everyday)? I know a few people went to 3000 from 2000 in about a week, but with the SS constraint, I'm wondering if they've stepped it up for the V6's..?

Lately, it has been taking anywhere from the 1 to 5 days. That part has been moving pretty quick. It's the TPW and the shipping timeframe that has more fluctuation (as well as more nerve racking!!) Once you get to 3000, I would check every 3 days or so to then discover your TPW (target production week) and that will give you a better idea of when your car will be built.

By the way the constraint is no longer an issue for you. The allocations are constrained and will not go into 2000 status unless the dealer got that spot to build a SS for that production cycle. Constraints are holding people in 1100 status until they get the allocation. The time from 2000 to car being delivered is averaging 6 to 7 weeks. I've heard some have got it as soon as 39 days but that is a rare occasion. Good luck and welcome to 6 longest weeks of your life. We're all going through it right now. :bangdesk:

i was at 2000 the last week of august and went to 3000 the next.

Well from what I've gathered from my dealer there was a part of the SS that was under constraint (GM underestimated how many people would spring for the V8's) and they would have to get more of that certain part manufactured before they could pick up the pace... But in the meantime that has allowed them to produce way more V6's. I went from 9th in line to 1st because all the cars ahead of my order were all V8's (we were all at 1100 waiting for the dealer's next month open allocations). Could mean you'd have to add a few weeks to your wait.

But also now that GM is increasing production across the board (based on underestimating Camaro sales... What the hell is up with GM?? ) that may cancel that out, who knows??

talk is the production on them has been reduced somea(dont believe) but i think the major reason is lack of parts..

I felt like the red-headed step-child of the group as I sat at 2000 for two weeks. For some reason, I moved from 1100 to 2000 on a thursday, stayed there two weeks, moved from 2000 to 3000 on a thursday, stayed there two weeks, and, then, moved to 3300 with TPW of 9/28/09 this thursday, yesterday. Go figure why thursday was my day, but it was...

I am eeeelated..! Rail car just emptied its load in MD so now I just gotta wait for them to truck it in, in a few days... My Dealer is gonna be out until Monday so if it comes in before then I'm forced to do nothing but look at it, but hell I've waited 4 months, what's another 4 days? Need that time to get my financing/insurance crap straight anyway. Is there a way to track ETA on a truck on here? (my dealer said ETA is next Tuesday but he said that about 2 weeks ago)
