Ron Davis or AFCO?

So I'm planning on adding the JRE 125rwhp package in 2016.

I'd figure I'd better beef up the cooling of the ZL1.

I'm going to add the D3 reservoir to help add coolant for the S/C.

Which one works best....the RD or the AFCO HX?

Thx

Lingenfelter also has a nice HXer with fans and adjustable controller. I run them on both my ZL1's

I have Afco (Black powdercoated) & D3 tank , Both are great & no problems at all .
-Ron davis has no fans like afco
-Lingenfelter requires some modifications, Afco is much easier to install .

How does the Ron Davis compare to the stock exchanger? Are the afco and ron davis units the same size minus the fans?

I assume you mean this one:

Any advantages over the RD or AFCO ones?

We offer both the AFCO and the Ron Davis unit along with a few others. I prefer the RD for everyday use along with track and autocross. The AFCO is better for drag racing with the fans otherwise I don't like having the restriction. It is also important to upgrade the reservoir and the D3 is an excellent unit.

Please feel free to call, email or PM us anytime with questions. Good luck with your build and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind regards,

i have a Ron Davis Rad / HX , got them both from JDP .... both work very well... only small problem i ran into was trying to get the transmission lines hooked up ... because of the over sizing between the two could not connect the factory line to the stock transcooler... just wouldnt bend right. installed a ADM cooler worked fine... just used the plugs that came with the ADM setup to block the inlet/outlet on the radiator.

coolant temps under 180 while cruising around town... probably go out and check some IATs tonight...

and i run the lingenfilter/rotofab coolant res ... cant run a D3 with the RD Radiator ... no room.
