10.1" Navigation Available for 2010-2015 Camaro Starting Dec 10th

This is no joke, as of December 10th, Pumpkin Auto is offering 10.1" Navs that fit in our cars. I currently have there 6.95" Nav and its outstanding. Its $429US but if you jump on it immediately, you'll get it for $379 if you use the promo code Pumpkin and order before Dec 11th.

The headunit uses the standard 2din insert and features a 10.1" panel that extends out of the unit and is fully adjustable to mount flush to any dash and extend out further for clearance if needed. All you need is the scosche or metra interface. The unit also features an industry first 5 point capacitive touch interface which makes it just as smooth and responsive as your Galaxy Tab S or Ipad Air tablet touch capabilities.

If your in the market for a new headunit and want to go big, this is a no brainer. FYI I have just preordered one for our '12 Impala; this should make a nice upgrade. I will post some photos once I get it. If I'm super impressed, I will upgrade the one I just bought last year to this one in my Camaro as well.

I like the Pumkin radios, but not this one! I don't like the idea of the screen being "swivable" and blocking everything else. And I need physical buttons and knobs! Otherwise the hardware is much better than they'er previous radios!!

Does the unit allow for the android playstore? I have a couple apps besides torque I use on my car.

Yes,

Thats the most common way to get apps onto your unit. You simply teether your phone and connect your pumpkin to your phone via wifi and then the playstore is ready to browse. I have a button on my phone I hit that automatically teethers to my pumpkin unit.

This new unit can be made to be flush against your dashboard giving it that true built in view. On our cars, the 10.1" screen wont really block anything except the faceplate area around it.

Definitely interesting. Curious about fitment on our cars though, aftermarket radio swaps already have a bit of an out-of-place look

The 6.95" model you currently have installed, which model is it? and what faceplate did you end up using? I want to upgrade the one in my 2010 SS to the 7" model.

I wonder how that would work if you already have the Maetra kit. Or instead of buying the kit would they come out with one to fit that Double Din. Lots of questions for this new stereo.

I'm itching for someone to get that 10" model lol. I'd volunteer as tribute, but I can't take the hit with all the christmas shopping and the need for new rear rubbers.

It will be a bitch to install the screen on the 2 DIN chassis after it is mounted in the dash along with either the Scosche or Metra kit. In the video, the guy had problems mounting the screen to the unit, and it was fully exposed on a test bench.

The will be the front of the unit sticking through the dash kit...IMHO will look butt ugly....

It runs on Android...OK for a phone, not a head unit.....

The headunit face is no different than most other high end headunits. They too have a removeable faceplate although this one is a little more tricky as there are a few screws needed to be removed. With that said with proper tools, face plate install will be a snap. I know several people with flip out single din headunits and they never had any issues with anything breaking and those things actually had to flip out where as this thing once adjusted stays flush against your dash.

Android on headunits is by far the best setup in vehicles because you have thousands of apps free at your finger tips unlike most other units which cant even install apps at all. The stock mylink headunit is worse than my old pioneer unit from 4 years ago which still had much more apps.

I guess if you consider a larger screen ugly then to each there own I guess. I personally would see as way more exotic and high end. Besides, we all knew that 7" nav screens wouldnt be big enough. Chevy is putting larger screens even in the 2016 Camaro.

I should be receiving my unit in a few more days and I'll be inspecting the build quality for sure on it.
