Question ARH only to the cats?

Is there a way to get the ARH system but only to the cats - not include the piping and x-pipe to the axle? I have someone ready to do a custom exhaust but I want to get the long tube headers on first but don't need the stuff after the cats.

Thanks!

If you install the complete system with all the o2 sensors in place, you should be OK. The system shouldn't set any DTCs at all. While a tune will optimize the headers it really isn't necessary.

If you want to make the most out of the system you'll want to get a tune. I would suggest going with the ARH Cat-Back header system which is the one you're talking about and then using Magnaflow part # 16483. It's a 3" Cat-Back with a Tru-X Pipe, Mufflers and tips. If you have any questions please feel free to call or email us anytime!

Kind regards,

JP

WRONG long tubes will throw codes regardless. I have their full system and the o2 sensors are installed and it was fine for 3 or 4 days then check engine like came on. Longtubes will require a tune to remove codes to pass inspection. And as others have mentioned a tune will also maximize their power and efficiency.

the small bullet cats that come with all the long tube set-ups just are not as efficient as the stock 4 cat system and will eventually set a code, also since you move the front o2 sensors farther down in the long tube collector, most people will get a code for insuficient switching bank 1 and 2,, just the way it is,, not just a problem with camaro's , i have also installed several sets of long tube headers on c6 vettes and they have the same issues

nothing a tune cant fix!
