ZL1 logo under hood

If you have customized the ZL1 logo under the hood could you post some pics or ideas. I have to be honest I didn't notice it until about a week after I got her. I was thinking maybe pin-stripe outline or something to make it stand out a little... Ideas?... Thanks ahead of time.

I have been looking at the sticker also. I was just wondering how hard it was to install? It looks like it would just be an odd angle to try to lean in and get the sticker straight with no bubbles in it.

The angle is pretty tough, leaning up against the car, but just do it slow and you shouldn't have any problems. Doesn't need to be 100 percent perfect to look good.

I'm not home so I can't post a picture, but I did the sticker as well. Chrome since my car is black. I ended up buying two sets since I somehow got the L crooked. It looks great though, no bubbling or peeling and its been on since April.

It is not the easiest to install but I am small so was able to get into the engine bay. It is not really a sticker. It is a vinyl inlay that is precision cut to fit the footprint on the hood. You use soapy water that will allow you to move it around to get it just right. Not the best picture but I can get another one as soon as I uncover this afternoon.

Decal here. Had it for a couple of years and it still looks new.

Put mine on Christmas Eve. I pulled the hood off, made it a breeze to install. It took an hour total. What a difference it made!!

I had one made by roger at emblem pros which turned out great. Looks like I should have taken the hood off like the previous post to get the L on straight! Brushed aluminum finish with the 1 in jewel red. For $60 it was a lot better than the $35 sticker.

Leave the hood on. "Float" the decal in place with soapy water from an atomizer bottle. (2 drops of dish soap to 2-3 cups of water) Clean surface then spray surface with soapy water. Place decal and when in place squeegee out the water. Can be all done in about 15 min. My decals have been on since 2012 and they still look great.

It took me less than 20 minutes to install. I did not remove the hood. However, if you are short in stature a foot stool may come in handy. Simply apply soapy water from a spray bottle (using the ratio of soap to water mentioned above) to the hood and one character at a time. Align each character to the recessed Z, L, or 1 in the hood, squeegee out the air bubbles and water, then let dry. Its too easy.
