Best Radar Detector?

Ok Ok.. We all know we may be driving a little heavier on the gas peddle this season, especially with the engines under our hoods.. Now that it's said and done, we don't want any cops giving us tickets 'cause they have nothing better to do.. So with that being said, what's the best radar detector on the market?

GO!

How much you looking to spend??? I got a Passport 9500ix and love it. It cost me $500 but it has a gps in it that tells you when you coming up on a red light camera and speed traps... It just saved me this weekend when I was driving to Dallas to watch the UFC fight. The cop got the guy in behind me. I was LMAO when I saw the driver speed by me.

There are better one's out there but your tolking about spending +$1500 on them.

there's lots of threads on the topic (search). the consensus seems to be Valantine1 or the Passport 9500ix. You can't go wrong either way. I have the V1 and love it.

It looks to be that Beltronics Vector 955 Radar Detector is a good buy. A lower price yet very reliable...

I've never used the others, so I can't compare anything, but I've been very happy with my Escort 9500ix. All the false positives (motion detectors at intersections and such) went away within the first week, and it's spotted the few policeman I've encountered running radar.

The more reviews I read from the different products, the more I see how the Escort 9500ix is a good pick.. Only problem I have read about is that the suction cups don't do well in the heat.. Well I live in Texas so I might face that problem..

You can find one of these on Ebay for around $400 flat.

K-40 is also a great one, the only issue is it has to be installed to the vehicle and no one knows you have it. The cops cant see it and I use them to go back to Columbus from AZ all the time and have been saved over and over on our show rig. It also saves me in CA all the time. We sell alot of them but like the guys said they are expensive. You get what you pay for and if you dont want tickets its best to buy one of the best on the market.

K-40 will pay for your ticket if you get one, they stand behind what they sell.
