Is this a fair price?
I have a 2014 Camaro 1SS/RS. It has a few mods but nothing that voids warranty or is too drastic. It has 45k miles on it, and I owe about $19K on it but I am really interested in the 2016 Camaro. I was thinking of selling my car for $25k, it is in mint condition with a clean title. Is that a fair price?
MSRP was $37,xxx bought in March 2014 |

that sounds like what a dealer would offer on a trade

Yea, that's about what they would do. They are probably thinking "Why do I want to pay top dollar for a 14 when the 16's are out and should be in demand?"

You may get some of your mod money back if you sell it yourself, but a dealer will not give you anything for them as a trade.

My old car was modified and it had a nice after market stereo among a few other things. When the Dealer came back with an offer the first thing they asked Me is are you leaving the sound system in. They said if I took it out their offer would be less. So that statement is not true, at least not as a Blanket statement. |

not knowing all the specs of your car NADA "clean retail" is $25.8K. mods you have to take for a grain of salt. private party sale you may be able to get a few dollars extra. dealer trade no.
now clean trade in should be 21-23k range. keep in mind thats is considered as "high" mileage for the year. you can always list it at 25k and see what kind of bite you get. also you can try another dealer to see what they will do on trade. When i traded my camaro last aug. the dealer (net even a chev dealer) started at 13k i ended up with 17k (for a 1ls base model) |
