Review: Corsa Extreme for Camaro SS

After a recent 416 upgrade, my exhaust drone went from tolerable to skull bone rattling (3" magnaflow competition). I had to do something as my car is a daily driver. I don't like the aesthetic of j-pipes, so I decided to give Corsa a try as they heavily advertise "no drone at cruise".

The exhaust is definitely on the very aggressive side at both start up and under full throttle (honestly makes me a bit self-conscious, but I'm sure I'll adjust). At cruise it calms down appropriately, and they speak the truth: the drone is gone!

I got the black diamond tips, and the finish is excellent. It bolted up fine, however we noticed that the driver side tube was bent at a different distance from the rear of the car than the passenger side tube. I don't know if that was intentional in order to help with drone, or a hiccup in the manufacturing process. In any case, the left muffler tip sticks out approximately 1/2" further than the right.

There wasn't time to do any cutting and refitting; on a cursory glance it isn't that noticeable, but as you're drawn to the exhaust tips the CORSA logo is visible on the top, so it gives an easy reference to the difference. I will have to get it adjusted as it will eventually bug the hell out of me.

If there's interest I'll figure out how to post a sound clip.

+1 DD and had 3" 1-chamber flowmasters; that drone was horrible on the freeway. Once I installed the 2" Texas Speed headers and cat delete, I put in the Corsa at the same time. The car is way louder with the headers and no cats, but the freeway drive is so nice now!

This is an old thread but worth reading. I hope this guy paid everyone back & never goes into business again.

Yeah, that was a friggin mess!! I guess I was one of the "lucky" ones who ordered from them way back when. Got my items with no issues. And they weren't cheap items either. I just hope everyone that got taken gets their monies back, AND they are not ever allowed to do business ever again!! Just sucks that people do that to the "trusting" public.

As far as the corsa extreme cat back kit...I installed mine last weekend on g5 ls3. Huge improvement over the noise from my muffler delete. Way better sound, no drone and cheaper than the borla atak kit that I was considering. The fit was perfect...It took less time to install the corsa kit then a vararam cai which was miserable. Tune, No Tune at 430hp lmao. I didn't do any research on cai purchase.
