Fixing to go this route in 2013 1LE. Any extra info. Pros. Cons. What different style/maintenance. Ect for driving maintaining a boosted car? Will be staying with stock pulley.

I have the SLP TVS2300 /maggy style. You did not specify which one, so I will just give you my point of view. My car does not have the stock pulley, but I can tell you this much. When I am driving around town and not hopping on the gas it does not feel any different than stock. It is only until I jump on it that it comes to life. I do not feel like drivability has really changed much at all if I am just driving normal. As for maintenance, I maintain it the same way I would if my car was naturally aspirated. There is not much more that I need to do other than that. I'm sure others will have different points of view on that.

I have the new style SLP. It's good and reliable. No maintenance necessary. I had the stock pulley for a couple of months with a dyno tune making 500 to the wheels. Car drove stock until the gas was mashed.

I also have the new SLP supercharger. Its a great system. No maintanence to worry about. Just make sure you have a good company install it and a great tune is key and you'll be all set.

The power difference was crazy from stock. !!

When i installed mine all i had was a catback exhaust. Stock manifolds, stock intake etc. Just plopped the SLP on top and car made 502RWHP (M6).

A year later i added Long Tube Headers, CAI intake, fuel system and dropped pulley. Car then made 567RWHP.

Then This year added bigger Fuel system, pulley'd down again to a 3.0 and added Torco Race fuel and car made 606RWHP.

Next step is a JRE Road Race Cam and car should put down in the ballpark of 700 to the wheels!!

Good Luck

SLP did an amazing job on this supercharger package.

It was late to the game but they used that to they're advantage by learning from all the other superchargers on the market and cleaning up the clutter, making the install easier and providing boost with less moving parts.

I am a Dealer for all major supercharger and turbo kits on the market, if you have any questions I will be happy to answer them, feel free to give me a call.

We have a lot of experience with this supercharger system as we worked closely with SLP during the launch and have installed and tuned 30+ units.

Ted.

I have the SLP, new style. I always loved SLP as far back as the 4th Gens. As stated, drive-ability doesn't change. There isn't any change in maintence. The whine of the supercharger is amazing at WOT, too. I will say, if i were to go back; I would have gotten the Whipple. The only reason being it's a bigger blower and has a higher ceiling in potential horsepower. Best of luck.

I used to have a 2001 SLP. It was such a fun car. The 4th gens had a lot of potential. with headers alone, the car was a monster.

But on the other point. I'm going with the 2.3 over the 2.9 purposely. I'm going for longevity. And around 600 drivetrain of the 1LE should hold fine. Until I can get shafts. And a single piece drive shaft in sticking with stock pulley.
