Eeee on a 15 zl1

E85 question maybe it's out there already but I've looked and haven't seen a straight answer for....
Can we run this e85 after a sensor(http://www.dedicatedmotorsports.com) with stock zl1 pump and zl1 injectors ALL ON A STOCK car no headers no pulleys bla bla bla
If not possible can we just run a mix of e60 or enough to see some sort of power increase. im just on the look of adding every last hp that a stock car has. all in all I know it is really a sensor and a tune but it's a similar adder as a small pulley but still easy enough to swap ecm over to stay dealership stock to keep the warranty instead of dealing with pulling a pulley off to have any maintenance done at a dealer to keep a warranty. I know it might not be for everyone but always more than one way to add hp

I'll ask my shop guy today. But I don't think you can. My estimate was $2,500 to switch over to e85. Said our fuel pumps were not designed for e85

Your fuel pump will be fine on e85. Your stock injectors will not likely be capable of flowing the 30% additional fuel needed. A blend would work but you are watering down the benifits.

Why does everyone think you lose your warranty if you modify your car? I have modifying my new cars for almost 25 years. They can only deny a claim if the part you modified proves to be the cause of the claim. So if your AC, power window, radio, etc stop working you still have a covered claim. At your power levels it is very unlikely you would have any mechanical issues anyway. I make 400 more hp that stock so I should know.

Stock pump would would work, stock injectors would not. Tune has to be adjusted either way. Might as well swap injectors if you are swapping ECUs to do this.

You should not try to screw the dealer/gm/other owners by playing warranty games though. Either stay stock, or pay to play.

Not trying to play games just trying to keep coverage on that motor. So nobody has tried to do e85 mix on stock everything on the stock injector? It looks like it handles a bit more power before you need injector for 93 so I'm just figuring it has a little wiggle room for added fueling. I know this seems to be a thing of 700+ hp guys adding e85 but i know it will make more power even for the lower hp guys just a easier way of doing so without having to take off the blower to do a top pulley(thanks to gm) or pull a bottom pulley just to add 40-50+Hp

I think your answer is just phone call away. http://www.admperformance.org/ These guys are in your neck of the woods and they are top notch from what I and others have been told.

Was hoping answer was just a post away. I'm just wondering why nobody has gone this rought maybe a better question to ask the ctsv peeps cause they seem to be mod crazy as they have been out longer...I'm just not interested in paying 4 grand for a thousand in parts plus labor and that's where I'm thinking the push is coming from to go that rought top first vs bottom cause more labor intensive as you can do p&p at the same time....got um

I am 90% percent positive that you can. I havent done the research on a ZL1 but I have on the SS 1LE (we have the same fuel pump).

You should be able to run e85 on a stock ZL1. Anything more and you might have to upgrade injectors.

If you convert to E85 and tune for it (which is required, not an option), I can guarantee if you have ANY engine problem the dealership is not going to cover it.
Yes if you have a radio problem, or power seat doesn't work they will probably not give you any problem fixing it. But you can kiss your powertrain warranty goodbye. Changing to E85 is WAY out of factory design and they won't touch it.

Same boat as everyone swapping a pulley, only my boat you can swap back way easier. And that's what the second ecm is for

That's what I'm thinking if there is more room for 93 with mods there should be room for e85>e whatever without mods

Keep in mind it often takes 30% more fuel to make the same power on e85. Now you can make more power with it but it takes more fuel by a good margin.

You must change the tune and injectors. Also swapping computers is also detectable. Good luck with your endeavors.
Have you looked into the Jannetty 75whp no tune option? Swapping a pulley for warranty work is easy imho.
