Farewell, I traded my '13 Camaro SS for a '12 E92 M3

Farewell, I traded my '13 Camaro SS for a '12 E92 M3.

I will check in from time to time to see what is going on in Camaro world.

My '13 SS was my first car.

Initial impressions of the M3 are........OMGGGG THIS THING IS AMAZINGGGGG.

There is one flaw. It has ruined the impression I had in my head on how good my Camaro was, how good my first car is. This is not me leaving the Camaro camp and bashing it as soon as I leave. It is genuine sadness.

Nice car... not a bad body style on the 16's. Pretty quick loos like... But I love my ride too much to even consider it, even if the price were cut in half...

The M3 is a legend in the world of performance cars, giving enthusiasts reason to speak in gushing superlatives whenever given the chance. Under the hood is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six that makes 425 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque; it makes glorious sounds all the way to its 7500-rpm redline. A six-speed manual is standard and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is optional. So you know, the M3 badge is affixed only to sedan models; coupe and convertible models wear the M4 designation. Made me chuckle. I'm a BMW mastertech about to pick up my first Camaro ss and your an ex Camaro owner getting into a M3. I can tell you from experience with these car, the e9x M3's are really well built cars and the motors rarely had issues (save for the occasional throttle motor or coil pack), worst part about owning one is the maintenance. Replacing brakes alone will cost a small fortune. Hope it treats you well!

Oh and glad to hear you went with the e9x. Last m3 to have a motor all its own. The new m3 bores me. Just a hopped up 340i. Yawn. I'd take take snarling v8 any day over the turbo six.

I've driven one of those a few times and raced a few of them (I always won) but I personally love the E92. The feel and feedback of the steering is the best I've ever felt. Downshifting the auto in M mode, the bark produced is fantastic. Love the E92s. Only negative is the cost of repair when something does go wrong.

Nice cars but the lack of torque was a dealbreaker for me. In any matter, still a sweet car and enjoy.

I traded in my m3 vert for my camaro ss vert. Loved the m3s handling and performance, but the cost of maintenance was crazy and imo the camaro looks way better. Also the sound of an american v8 gets me every time. Congrats on new ride
