Anti-Theft Code??
Hey guys, so I'm going to be installing K&N air intake and the instructions advises to disconnect the negative batter cable. It says this will erase memory settings and sometimes radios will require an anti-theft code when the battery is reconnected. Has anyone experienced this? If so, where can I find the anti-theft code; and exactly what settings will be erased when disconnecting the battery?

I have disconnected my battery a few times to install things; never erased or reset my MyLink system or asked for a code.

I had my battery disconnected for around 4 hours one night and nothing happened except the buttons/lights in my mirror started working again.

I don't think you need to disconnect your battery to swap out a air filter housing.

thanks for the replies. I just completed the upgrade a couple of hours ago. I left the battery connected and there were no issues
