How hard is it to add an amp to the base mylink radio?

A buddy of mine did the MyLink retro fit to my 2011, added 10" Alpine sub thump, Alpine Amp, Afinity speakers along with the backup camera and it's all good. I know when he took my car home, he got started about 5p and had the MyLink, amp all in and working by 11p, finished up the remaining install the next morning and had my car back to me by 4p.
He's wizard when it comes to installs and electricals.
