Priming Motor (Oil)
Block has been sitting empty of fluids for little over a week now. I've got the cam swap, stronger chain/tensioner, HV oil pump, x2 disc clutch, etc finished up and I'm almost to the point of routing turbo plumbing. I want to turn the motor over and prime the system and re-lube everything with oil.
With that being said, is there a fuel pump fuse that has easy access? I may have overlooked the fuse panel... I don't want to send fuel squirting all over the place when I turn it over several times. |

It's in the back, right rear fuse block, behind the carpet. Can also just unplug all the injectors in case it has been key'd up and the injectors pressurized.
I would do both, because you have to be careful. Most cars have a backup fuel pump 12v feed off the oil pressure switch. I've seen plenty of cars while cranking with the fuel pump fuse out, once it hits oil pressure, fires up because the pump kicks on off the back up circuit. Pull the fuses and injector plugs. And if any fuel lines off, still be real careful with a helper and fire extinguisher handy. If a fuel line is off, I'd have a helper having that line directed to a fuel can. Just in case something weird happens. I've seen it tons of times. |

If you just hold the gas pedal ALL THE WAY to the floor while cranking then the injectors don't fire. That's how I do it.

I've come across a problem. I almost have everything hooked back up to the car but when I tried to turn it over, nothing happens. I'm wondering if the car needs everything hooked up other than the plug wires? I'm going to check my grounds here in a bit.
