Help with pricing

Hi,

It has been a great time, but sadly the time has come to sell my beloved Camaro.

I need help from the amazing members of Camaro5 to help me price my car so that I can get a good deal and sell it fairly quickly. I want to sell it for 22k since it is in mint condition, but please comment on suggestions after viewing the rest of the post!

Specs: fairly stock 2ls A6
Mileage: 6500 miles
-color: Blue Ray Metallic
-current mods include CAI, Dipped wheels with gloss black finish, and GM strut tower brace
-have regular and snow tires which I am willing to sell as well
-only used synthetic oil and 93 octane gas

I have a black oem spoiler which I haven't installed yet, but if anyone thinks it could help/hurt resale value please comment!!

I am also thinking about doing other small mods such as new sway bars and maybe an axle back exhaust and tune. Again, please comment!!

Thank you for helping a heartbroken man through difficult times!

According to NADA it's worth about $20K. Unfortunately, cost of modifications can't be recouped, unless a buyer specifically wants them - in some cases they can detract from the value. The best bet would be to remove them & sell them separately. It's unwise to continue modifying a car that'll be offered for sale.

Honestly you're not gonna get 19-20k for the car. It's 2 years old at this point with an outdated motor, interior and body. If you really want to sell it for more, list in on Craigslist and wait for someone who really wants the car for a less than dealer price. My best bet is you can get 21k for it from an interested buyer.

22k will get you a nice 2013/2014 2LT/RS with low miles if you look around. You may have to settle for a little less.

You think 29 posts is a long time, and want to sell for X amount and even throw more money at it which will net you squat... LOL Apparently times are tough and at trade in you will be lucky to get high blue book so have the figures handy..... Your going to take a beating.

As other's have already stated, you're going to take a beating and your mods can detract from the sales price, as well as turn some if not most potential buyers off. Personally, I'd return it back to stock before trying to sell and sell the removed parts separately. As far as the spoiler & other small mods you asked about, again, I wouldn't do them and, if you've already purchased the parts, sell them separately.

Good luck which ever way go ...

Definitely agree with everyone else on this post. Its a base model in a color that doesnt really grab attention with outdated body and motor and its an automatic... maybe if it was a manual in an eye grabbing color you could squeeze $19-20k out of it.

Any chance I could squeeze 20k out of it if I had an extended warranty?

I got it when I bought the car in late 2013, and the warranty covers a total of 7 years: 5 years powertrain and bumper to bumper, and the remaining 2 years only bumper to bumper...

In my area you can get a 2014 RS with less than 10k miles with warranty for 20k. So I'm gonna go with everyone else and say demod it and then sell.

You seem to take great pleasure in someone else taking a financial hit! Glad he was able to make you so happy.

To OP I agree with the others, do not add anymore mods, best of luck selling. Private party sale is your best bet.
