Was wondering why I have seen different backgroung colors on the 4 pack guage console just in front of the shifter.

I have seen pics with black, red or white backgrounds. Anybody know why?
Just what are the differences? Canadian, V8, V6??

the gauges only have black backgrounds with white text, the colors have to do with the lighting at night and from what i heard depends on what interior color you have. if you have the Inferno Orange interior the borders light up orange but the numbers light up light blue. if you have any other color the outer edges glow light blue as well as the numbers. but i may be wrong about the orange outer color and its only on the outer rings of the 2 main gauge cluster lights at night.

The red background was from the black concept and there have been other concept pics with different colors, I'm sure eventually some options might be available via aftemarket.

I know it's not popular, but I want chrome housing for all of it.

But, Ya, the concept and other 'show' cars had some different colors in them.

Agree with PQ. I love all of the black Crome accents from the Camaro Black Concept...hopefully something like that will become available as an upgraded interior package soon
