Removing front bumper
Hey everyone I did try searching but there seems to be some sort of error popping up.
Anyway, is there a link to any step by step instructions on how to remove the front bumper of a 2010 SS? It looks pretty straight forward but I don't want to assume anything. Looking to install a heritage grill. Thanks. |

I used the same video. It was very helpful. Spent more time going back to watch the video (as I went along) than it actually took to remove the bumper.
Pulling the grill out of the back of the bumper is a pain!

Used this when I did my SS. It's mostly accurate.

By "mostly accurate" he means they left out "drink a beer" between each step shown above.

I used this as well. Tried to get smart and not take the wheels off; took me an extra hour instead of saving time.

Jeff it was most likely Beer & a box of wine. It's hard to figure which one he likes more. So he just drinks the wine and uses the beer for a chaser. I know I would.

to get the 3 bolts in the fender well bend the inside fender and stick it in between the rotor and backing plate. wont damage anything and it stays out of your way. remove the 2 push pins to do it.

Is there a place on the heritage grill where a badge could be placed in the same position as the factory grill? Say for example SS or RS?

Yes, but you have to buy a bracket for it.

Open the hood 1 bolt on each end on top of the Fascia 6 push pins. Underneath each side 3 hex head screws. 1 screw on each side just underneath where the side marker light is. When you have these all out pull on the fascia slowly don't pull it off all the way yet. On the passenger side is the electrical plug that goes to all the lights on the fascia after you unplug it. Lay a blanket down first. The fascia is not heavy just awkward. When you go to put it back on take your time there is 3 guide pins on each side to help you align it in to the holes. Good Luck
