ZL1's worth?
Sorry guys, I know these types of threads get old...
I have interest in a couple 13' Z's both are loaded, one has 4,xxx miles the other has 9,xxx miles. I buy and sell cars quite often as I like to change it up. Last year (Summer) I could have bought a similar car for $40,000. What's a good "buyers" price in today's market please? Thanks, Seth. |

I bought my 2013 ZL1 w/ 3k miles , Nav , CF insert ,M6 for 41k out the door. I had to drive to Florida to get it but I was searching for an Inferno Orange car or nothing. I probably would have paid more than I did just to get it in that color. I would say anywhere at 40k or less for a low mileage car is a good price.

Just traded my 2013 ZL1 with 20,200 miles in to the dealer and got $39,000 (but with the tax savings it was more like $41.5k). Can't believe the deal I got. CarMax appraised it at $35k and there are several '13 ZL1's in my area selling for $38-42k with less miles.

If you have patience and search, you may be able to get a low mileage zl1 for around 40K if they really want to move it. Most I've seen are going for $41K to $44K.

I was looking fairly heavily the last 3 months. $38k cars had 30k miles.
Cars with 15k or less were 40-42k Dealers weren't moving much on them. I wanted black only w sunroof and manual. they were dropping $500 and that's it. I was very motivated. But the prices were sticking. Theres a very good deal on a 13 conv with 15k. $39k. Blk. Planet ford in TX There's a blk manual in WA, dropped to $43k. 1100 mile car. lowest mileage 13 for sale, one owner, and bought from the same dealer. http://www.gamblinmotors.com/Vehicle...-WA/2708875043 |

Depends. If they're asking astronomical prices for the new ZL1, then I think there will still be a decent demand for the 5th generation ZL1 keeping prices stable. If prices are close between the two, then there will be higher demand for the new car driving 5th generation prices down.

I've been searching and searching for a very specific 2013 ZL1 and haven't been able to find one at the right price. Right price for me would be anything under 43K for an auto coupe with less then 5k miles

Your in the right price range, however I wouldn't be a stickler on the mileage. I bought my ZL1 with 16K miles, and it was almost like new. Low mileage is good, but it's more important that the car was well maintained and not abused by the previous owner.

Not really. I dont see many lining up to trade.. Current owners reaction is having a hard time digesting the styling, and slight power gain. It is a car for a new buyer and dont see a flood of the 5th hitting the market due to trade in.

Agreed l. I am entertaining the thought of buying one. I am gonna let the hype play out and just see what this thing is once all specs are released. I am not trading my car for one thats for sure.
