ZL1 6th Gen, 5th Gen or Both
I know there is a long discussion going on in another thread but wanted to just get a count, thank you.
With the New 6th Gen ZL1 out what are your plans?

I have both, 2016 ss black with Matt dark grey ralley stripes and 2013 ZL1 black with grey stripe on trunk. 2016 ss is my DD and the ZL1 is my 1/4 mile car.

WAY too early to tell. I'm excited that the ZL1 is coming, and so quickly after the release of the Gen6. I think it's a great move for GM.
I'm loving my 2015. It leaves me wanting for nothing. I haven't been even slightly tempted to test drive a 2016 SS. I'll be tempted to test drive the new ZL1. Will completely reserve judgment until I've been behind the wheel of one. |

ZL1 6th Gen, 5th Gen or Both
I love my 5th gen and I think the 6th gen is amazing; despite what a lot of 5th gen owners say. I won't put down the 6th gen just because my 2013 ZL1 is no longer the newest Camaro. I would sell my 5th gen for a 6th gen. I'll wait until the 2018 ZL1 is available to decide.

Here is what I think about 6th gen
Pros - weight, inside is more refined. Inside looks really nice. mmarginal more hp and tq that appears to be same as ctsv Cons -styling (just don't think it looks as nice). Don't like rims or spoiler deck lid. And the new 10 speed auto needs to get kinks worked out. Also I am guessing this will be priced high with not major discounts for years. Major depreciation. That's why I am not buying a 6th gen. I think overall it is a great new redo but definitely not worth the upgrade. I am get better performance from teds JRE 125 package and not lose 25-30k upgrading. I bought my zl1 new doe 43k and will never get that deal with a 6th gen Last edited by 370zyzfr1; 03-19-2016 at 08:16 AM. |

I have had my 71 RS/Z28 and my 2012 ZL1 since they were both new. I will be getting a Gen 6 ZL1 but not sure if I will wait a year or two or get a 17. Depends on the price. I'm not to crazy about how small they are but won't drive it much anyway, My 2012 has 2008 mi on it. I will keep the other Camaro's, you can never have to many of them.
