ID1000's on stock ZL1 pump and ADM FPCM?
I am changing to flex fuel however I am waiting to install the system once it arrives and I have the time to leave the vehicle for an extended period. My question is.. With the proper tune can my pump and module support the ID1000's? I am installing my new cam this week and would like to swap the injectors before installing the new flex fuel system.

Highly interested in this answer as well. I've got the exact same set up (plus a KB BAP) and would also love to go E85. However, I think the answer is no.
But I'd love to hear from someone who has actually tried this and confirmed it won't work. It must be very close... |

If I plug in some values as an example, I think that would help. "I'm running 8 PSI on my supercharger and my 850's peak at 70% duty cycle. If I switch to ID 1000's on e85, will that be okay?" Well, since the rule of thumb for e85 is 30% more volume at WOT, but you're only increasing the volume of the injectors (max) by 15%, with only about 10% duty cycle left, probably too close to call. In general, the car will support "anything." I have 2000's on mine flowing e85 or gas (but not compatible with race gas). The car idles smooth as glass and drives normally; well, until you get above 1/8 throttle then it's white knuckling. At 19+ PSI, I still only hit a peak of 38% on e85. Probably too large for the car, but it's not hurting anything either.

Great response. It seems like cheap insurance to move up to the 1000's.
However I've heard from both designers on the market of the e85 kits that the 850's will support what my blower can produce at the wheels on an other wise stock bottom end. But I have my done fair share of researching and most recommend 1000's. Is anyone reading this running 850's with a fore or squash setup? |

Im just wondering, Will the pump support the injectors until i change the pump out for my new flex fuel e85 twin pump system that i will be installing? Some are saying the ID850's will support the e85 up to 800 wheel and some are saying i definitely need 1000's. Im just looking for some clarity. If the id850's will work with my new twin pump, lines ECT the whole 9 then ill stick with them. If i need to move up to 1000's will the ZL1/ADM module support them until then? Thanks for everyones feedback. |

But this week my cam is going in and it will need a tune to support whatever injectors i keep in there until i upgrade the fuel system. If 850's will support that pump and e85 i will stay with them. If not, 1000's here i come! |

Do you have a good data logger and tuning software? (Like HP Tuners) I'd love to see you give this a try with some VERY careful datalogging and see what happens.
Here is a guy who's made it work: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=209218 I may just get a flex fuel sensor and give this a shot with my set up. I've got the 1000's in thee already. And I've got a BAP. Stock cam. Keep the boost at 8 psi. Who knows... Last edited by cc-rider; 03-20-2016 at 07:54 PM. |

Just to clarify incase i am confusing anyone. I will NOT be running e85 thru the ZL1 pump. I will be running 91 thru the ZL1/ADM/ID1000's unit i get the proper pumps, lines, sensors dropped in. That is of course that the ZL1 pump will support the 1000's in the mean time with 91 octane and a tune.

You could run ID2000s or Atomizer 250lbs on a zl1 pump. Not sure what you mean on asking if they are able to support each other. Stock pump and ID1000s would work. It just means you run out of pump before injector, which is typical on most camaro setups.
