2LT/RS vs Lexus GS430
Just curious as to everyone's thoughts about 2010 2LT/RS Camaro vs 2006 Lexus GS430
On paper it looks like a drivers race.. Camaro: 304hp, 273 tq, 3,737lbs, 0 to 60 in 5.9-6.1, 1/4 in 14.2-14.5 Lexus: 300hp, 325 tq, 3,745lbs, 0 to 60 in 5.7-6.0, 1/4 in 14.2-14.5 They pretty much have the same HP and weight, yet the Lexus has 50+ torque but they still have similar times, weird? Maybe gearing is different.

I think the times are just off, the lexus would most likely smoke the camaro 9 out of 10 times.

http://www.moderncamaro.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7042 http://www.mpt.org/motorweek/reviews/rt2850a.shtml 14.2 seems to be the glory pass for the v6, its actually quite slow at 14.5 (on average, some better such as the first but many worse, between 14.6-14.8, with the highest only 1, at 14.9) The gs accelerates a faster 0-60 and quarter, but the glory pass of the camaro seems to be extremely close to the consistent pass of the lexus. The only problem however is that there seems to be no glory pass for the lexus, they all run the same times where as the camaro can be up and down quite a bit. |
