New 2013 SS Owner! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys,

Over the past year me and my dad have spent countless hours looking for the perfect Camaro in my opinion; A 2013 black on black L99 2SS RS w/ sunroof.

After not having much luck over the past year, 3 days ago one listing finally appeared with low mileage and at a good price. The only problem being that it was over 1,200 miles away in Connecticut (we live in Minneapolis). When I found the listing this past Friday morning, we called the dealership about the car to find out that it was still available, and we then found out that the only reason the previous owner had traded it in was to get a 2016 SS. We then booked our tickets to fly 1,000 miles out to Connecticut the same day we had found the car!

Congrats buddy. A father/son Camaro team, that's awesome! Both me and my dad have 5th gens.
One observation though. I searched for my 13 1LE high and low. While searching, I looked at several 2SS RS cars. The rims on the 13 SSs I looked at were different(the newer 14 15 style). Maybe someone can chime in to confirm the wheels on your car were still available in 13. Just want to make sure someone didn't pull a fast one and swapped your rims before you bought the car.

Congrats. Hoping to be doing the same thing myself this time next year. I'll be looking for a 10 -15 SIM 2SS car , 6MT, no sunroof, >50k, for about 25k
