Satisfied V6 Owners
I have had my 2015 1LT RS for just about a year now and I really don't mind the fact it is a V6. I hear from people all the time about "You should have got a V8" but really, this V6 is still pretty quick and doesn't sound too bad.. What are your guys's thoughts on your V6 Camaro's? Build quality ect.?

Welcome Colton! I am in KC, MO....where are you?
That being said...very happy. Sometimes I wish, only when i hear the custom cam lope. But then realize I am extremely happy with my car, especially with it modified the way I want. And, when im done with it, it will beat up on most cars on the street. All the while getting better gas mileage, lower insurance, and a lower car payment.

Hello! I am from Hutchinson. It's about 3 hours from you!
Also, nice mods! I want to start modding mine, but I don't want to ruin my warranty because I have had it in the shop multiple times for a number of things so far unfortunately. How well does the car handle all the performance upgrades? Do you drive a manual or auto? Mine is a manual and I am curious if I should upgrade my transmission? Do you think the V6 trannys are good enough? Or maybe it is my clutch that needs upgraded. I can barely shift at high RPMs without really throwing it in hard. The clutch pedal seems to go weightless at times as well. What would you recommend for me to upgrade first? CAI is probably the easiest to start with. Next, maybe a throttle control and new exhaust? I want it to pull faster if I can! |

Pretty Happy with mine. Once you start wishing for more cylinders go buy something new for your V6 and fall in love again. I'll admit I was getting tired of mine at the end of last car season. The winter mod season brought my love for her back to life. New wheels/hood/Paint job(soon)/ and VTC

I'm with Derek. The only thing I really wish my car had was the loping cam. Definitely not going to destroy my investment with a stupid ghost cam just for that haha.
In regards to tackling the "should have gotten a V8" haters, I explain to them that I get 24 mpg, lower insurance, lower monthly pmt, AND I'm still throwing down an estimated 270-280 at the wheels. And my car looks freaking amazing. And if they drive a POS and hate on my car, then I politely say "Wanna trade rides? Oh wait. You don't like V6s. Sorry."

No regrets here. I'm Loving my V6 Camaro. Just took mine out of winter storage last Friday and put a few hundred miles on it. Almost forgot how quick these V6 Camaros are. Yea the V8 has more down low power but it's the top end speed with these V6 DI engines that I like so much. Good gas mileage too. A CAI and modified or upgraded exhaust really improves that sound.

I love my 2015 1LS. It's a lot of car for the money. No new car under 25K will touch the performance of this car.
I went through the extensive mods phase on my Mustang GT when I was a kid in the 80's and no matter how fast it got, I wanted more power. |

I wish I had gotten a v8, but I didn't make as much money 2 years ago as I do now, so it didn't make sense at the time. Still a great upgrade from my camry and echo

I am very happy with mine so far but it has taken a while to get it where I want and there is still a lot I want to do.

I'm very happy with my v6. If I had a v8, my other toys probably would get less love, as I would modify my daily driver.
It looks great, it's comfortable, and I enjoy DD'ing this v6

One thing I do notice is that when heavily rowing the gears in a hypothetical race situation the clutch pedal does start to feel completely weightless
